Slunnie,
I'm just about to have a go at building a rear bar using your design, just have a few queries,
With the 100 x 100 beam, what wall thickness is the best to use? was thinking either 4mm or 5mm??
The first angle cut on the main section - is that 10mm either side of the centre mark (giving a 20mm wide wedge?) - the reason i ask is i love the basic shape you achieved and would like to copy the same measurements
Thanks

Hi Brad,
I'm sorry as I've only just seen this.
The wall on the 100x100 was only very thin, probably the thinest wall that this section comes in. It was probably only something around 1.6mm or something like that - quite light. It most definately wasn't anything even remotely close to 4 or 5mm in thickness. This said, probably due to the section measurements it still seems to be very strong.
With the cut to bend the 100x100, I cant recall the exact measurement or if I used angles or drawings to work it out. 10mm looks like it would be fairly close though - you might be able to scale off the pictures. The cut needs to be be taken from both sides of the line though, this makes sure that when the fold is made that the 2 halves line up with each other.
